"Growing and learning together."
For the past 41 years, St. James Montessori has been providing children with an enriched preschool experience that follows the teachings and philosophy of Dr. Maria Montessori. The Montessori Method has been around since the early 1900’s and is considered to be an innovative and revolutionary educational philosophy that focuses on self-rewarding, leadership and peer-based learning.
Our school provides a challenging and stimulating environment that enables the child to develop independence, self-confidence, initiative, concentration and social skills. These skills, combined with an emphasis on self-control and discipline, provide excellent preparation for the pre-school transition to Kindergarten and Grade One. The classroom is carefully laid out and geared specifically to the child’s level, both physically and academically. The learning materials explore basic elements of biology, botany, geography, math, language and creativity.
St. James Montessori welcomes children from ages 3 to 5 years. We offer 2½ hour morning and afternoon programs, with a choice of 3, 4, or 5 days per week.
